Post-doctoral position in cell signaling and cardio-renal remodeling
A 24 months postdoctoral position (ANR funding) is available from March 2018 for a highly motivated post-doc fellow to join a research group specialized in the identification of new therapeutic targets in heart failure. The team is based at “Institute of Cardiovascular & Metabolic diseases” (I2MC) in Toulouse (www.i2mc.inserm.fr), benefits from a quite new laboratory and has access to the shared equipment of the institute and GenoToul multidisciplinary life sciences facilities.
Current work in the lab analyzes the role of cAMP signalosome in heart and kidney failure. We use genetically engineered mice and experimental animal models of heart failure, confocal microscopy, cell culture, biochemistry and state-of-the art molecular and cellular biology techniques.
PhD or MD/PhD is required, with a strong background in cell and molecular biology. Skills on developing in transcriptomic and proteomic techniques to study cellular remodeling processes will be highly valued.
The candidate must be able to work independently, as well as demonstrate a strong commitment to team based work with strong organization skills.
